Features:
A new chapter in the evolution of the Black Ops series, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare debuts a near-future setting, massive new online environments and an all-new protagonist, to deliver the most immersive and thrilling CoD experience yet. Set against the backdrop of global events in the near-future, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare propels players to a near-future environment where tensions between the U.S. and Russian Federation have erupted into all-out war. The game takes players to a variety of new and richly detailed environments, including a manufacturing district overrun by an undetermined force, a Shanghai skyline under attack, a high-tech military research facility turned madhouse, and the seaside town of Coast City. During a solo campaign, players will explore and navigate these dangerous landscapes and come face to face with a wide range of enemies, including heavily armed insurgents, cyber-enhanced soldiers, and heavily armed special forces soldiers armed with a wide variety of lethal new weapons. As they fight through the game’s campaign, they will have access to an ever-expanding arsenal of advanced weaponry, including the SCAR assault rifle, MX submachine gun, and M60E4 sniper rifle. Other weapons are also available to each player as they progress, and players can upgrade weapons with gear available during the campaign or in the game’s multiplayer environment. The game also includes a new three-player cooperative mode where players must work together to protect the president of the United States.
